Pablo - those are pentas, and I don't know if they are natives, per se, but they are one of those "do no harm" plants. Their benfits far outweigh any possible problems they could present. I can't think of one bad trait for them. They are far from thuggish in the garden, drought-hardy, cold-hardy, and the butterflies (and moths) love them.
