Our wrens are a little earlier this year in nesting. We already have a female incubating her two eggs now. Same plant, same place.

We're thrilled that they're back, easily visible from the kitchen window.

It's the most fun when the little wrens are big enough to take whole food from Mom and Dad. They scour the yard for grasshoppers and offer them to their hungry little chicks. Last year we were treated to actually watching the fledglings leave the nest and fly off - with Mom's encouragement.

Maybe we'll be as lucky this year, too.
